In manager-datamodel-docstrings branch the configuration datamodel is completely annotated with docstrings. It can be seen in the json schema.

Some attributes are difficult to describe in one sentence, but at the same time I did not want to copy the complete description from the documentation. It is possible that some descriptions of the attributes do not explain much. Annotations needs to be fine-tuned when the main documentation is done. This is more of an example of what it might look like.
