IPv6 in PPPoE mode is not considered
When PPPoE is used for WAN the IPv6 configuration is managed by ppp daemon. It creates new interface (commonly something like pppoe-wan) and that interface has both IPv4 as well as IPv6. That makes wan6
interface invalid and it also for some reason makes line unstable, that is probably because it interferes with pppoe traffic on ethX
interface.
When PPPoE is used the option network.wan.ipv6
can be set to auto
or 0
for disable or 1
for wan6
interface usage.
This means in PPPoE we have to do (and also later when switched to DHCP for example undo):
-
disable wan6 interface or base it on pppoe-wan
depending onnetwork.wan.ipv6
setting -
Allow setting automatic configuration in case of PPPoE (configuration done by pppd)
