We want to be able to query for missing values in columns, so allowing `null` to appear anywhere a value may be present (both in the query filters, considering it during aggregation and in the bucket headers). Basically, what only mac addresses could do now would be possible with all the columns. Naturally, some would never contain the `null` values.
