Restarting the network hangs indefinitely when not using the IP directly

I connected to Omnia (hbk, TOS 5.4, but it's probably present in all branches) through a custom Wireguard VPN, omnia is the hostname from /etc/hosts. After restarting network, the wheel keeps spinning and never actually connects again. Inspecting the network traffic shows that the first few health checks (probably before the reboot) are correct.

But then the Host header is changed from omnia to 192.168.2.1 which is Omnia's IP in its own local network that I am not using and the check keeps failing.

Reloading the page fixes this.
