WAN - 6in4 tunnel - MTU issues
# Summary According to [the page 25, section 5. Packet Size Issues](https://tools.ietf.org/html/rfc8200#page-25) of RFC8200 Internet Protocol, Version 6 (IPv6) Specification the minimum link MTU is 1280 bytes or greater. The input field on the 6in4 configuration page allows to specify values less than 1280. The accompanying note advises the user that the > MTU `should` be in range of 1280-1500. but in reality the correct note (in respect with page 25, section 5, paragraph 2, first sentence of RFC8200) is > MTU `must` be in range of 1280-1500. Anyway, the thing gets more complicated here. As we use the tunnel protocol, that adds 20 bytes of overhead, it renders the maximum value of MTU to 1480 bytes (1500 B - 20 B = 1480 B), thus the correct note for our case is > MTU `must` be in range of 1280-1480. # Steps To Reproduce 1. find a girl/boy 2. get drunk 3. ??? 4. profit # Expected Result MTU values limited 1280 - 1480 # Actual Result
