Setting up DHCP on WAN keeps previous DNS servers
Summary
If a static address is set up on WAN and then it is switched to DHCP, the DNS servers from the previous static set-up are kept and the DNS gotten from DHCP is added. The set-up is not replaced but combined in the end - both (all) present in /tmp/resolv.conf.auto
and LuCI overwiew. It remains like that after restart too.
Steps To Reproduce
- setting up a static address on WAN and filling in some external DNS servers
- setting up a DHCP on WAN
Expected Result
The DNS server(s) gotten from the DHCP option is used, the previous set-up is replaced.
Actual Result
Both (all) DNS servers are used (listed in /tmp/resolv.conf.auto
and LuCI overwiew.
Possible workaround
- setting up a statica ddress on WAN again, but without filling in DNS servers
- setting up a DHCP on WAN again
