Using Medkit with checksum file does not work

I downloaded the latest medkit (SB I think) and the sha256 checksum file and put them onto a USB to flash to the router. It went through the process but didn't reboot, it would just hang with flashing blue lights. I opened the checksum file and manually hashed the firmware, it matched successfully but the filename next to the hash didn't match the firmware filename which I concluded was the issue...

So I deleted the checksum file from the USB (having satisfied myself by doing it manually) and the upgrade process completed successfully afterwards.
