This is WIP as I want to look at it further, because I want to look if we can copy all the files in bin instead specifying all binaries by hand, which would prevent this issue.

Hacky way to allow to override any settings for individual cards. This makes it possible to fix configuration of cards that wrongly report their capabilities. Proper way is to somehow integrate it upfront, override reading of possible capabilities and disable the options in all UIs and properly report options that are not supported. That would be quite some complex work and would take quite some time. But this solution is simple enough and allows us to correct wrong settings and make problematic cards work again.

This is not exactly dropped, but the relevant commit was applied to Turris OS packages repository and there is also official 4.0.0 release, so I switched directly to it.

Several changes were backported to OpenWrt 21.02, that's why we can drop them from this patch.

In some cases on Turris 1.x devices the eth2 (WAN) is not working. We don't know what is happening exactly right now. We are not able to reproduce it even though we have same setup, it is working for us. Other things are working as they should.

This is not required anymore, because this was applied by later Linux kernel update.

I dropped several things in Updated sections as they are already mention in New Features, otherwise, the changelog is too long and users will not get any clue from that. For example, if you said reForis update, then they need to check the changelog, but the same thing is already in the new features. Users don't need to know that we need to update backend and Turris HW to get it working. The same applies for OpenVPN credentials in reForis, which we added.

Nextcloud used to enable php7-fpm in the installation script, but it now enables php8-fpm and it was not getting enabled on an update.

This was superseded by patch from OpenWrt [1], which was discussed in OpenWrt mailing list [1] https://github.com/openwrt/openwrt/commit/8be6350f6646b37929f40a9a482343f22af2065b [2] https://lists.infradead.org/pipermail/openwrt-devel/2022-December/039950.html
