Basically, it means that GPON modules VSOL V2801F and CarlitoxxPro CPGOS03-0490 v2.0 should work with this patches or there is required something else? That's because I would like to know if they should be added here https://wiki.turris.cz/doc/en/public/sfp or not.

Sorry. I tried looking into WORKFLOW.adoc in both hbd and hbl and couldn't find which label to use.

I don't know if this is enough to make those GPON modules work. One user send diagnostics for his module (Gigalight GPB-5324L-L2CD-C) and from the diagnostics I found out that kernel could not determine which mode to use because this code was missing. It is possible that this code would also make those modules, and others, work. But I would at least wiat till the user tests this before adding the modules to wiki table.

I thought that we have some GPON modules in our office to test it, but thank you for your explanation. Because in one of those commits, there is that it was tested by @prohar. So, we will see if it is going to help or there is additional work needed.

Otherwise, this is applied in the upstream kernel, and would be good if you can explicitly mention which are those "some" SFP modules. So LGTM.
